OCCC Aquarium Science Building

This project was completed on an active educational facility site to allow space for Oregon Coast Community College Aquarium Science program and to provide adequate housing for large aquatic animals.         
The major components of work included construction of a single story, 9,274 sq. ft. building including an 854 sq. ft. mezzanine. Construction included concrete, brick masonry, concrete unit masonry, steel columns, glue laminated beams, wood framing, plastic laminated faced wood cabinets, dampproofing, waterproofing, thermal insulation, sheet metal flashing, asphalt glazing, gypsum board, ceramic tile, resilient flooring and base, painting, signage, toilet compartments, fire extinguishers and cabinets, blinds, entrance mats and all associated  mechanical and electrical systems.  Included in the mechanical and electrical systems were ten roof top mounted solar panels installed to provide both electricity and solar hot water to the building.
